NCAA Player Scores 109 Points in a Game!

Jack Taylor of Grinelle scored a massive 109 points in their victory game against Crossroads College last Sunday. The Grinelle's total score was 173 points.

If you’re thinking that this is only a one night shooting affair for Taylor, braced up because this 5.10 guard has set the NCAA record last year by scoring 138 points in a 179-104 victory over Faith Baptist Bible College.

Jack Taylor is averaging 90 points a game this season for the Division III schools. His shooting percentage from the floor is about 50%. In the game last Sunday, he made 24 of 48 three pointers and already had 53 points in first nine minutes of the second half.

When asked how he’s done it, he said “Just like last year, I couldn’t have done this without my teammates….I give so much credit to them. This truly was a team effort. I’m thankful for the program and the people I have playing with me.”

What is their game plan? His team mates will rush the ball in the floor and will pass it to Taylor who shoots the ball within 10 seconds of their shot clock. A third part of the team’s total field goal attempts belong to Jack Taylor.

Certainly, looking at his numbers, he is a legitimate shooter. But is he going to be a solid player when he enters a higher division in NCAA? It will remain to be seen.

What are you feeling with this guy?
