The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 5, entitled The Internment is out. Last week's episode focused on the adventures outside the prison.
Daryl and the team successfully retrieved medical supplies for those infected and they are on their way back. The highlight was about Rick's decision to oust Carol as a consequence of her decision in killing Karen and David to avoid further spread of virus.
This week focuses on the struggles inside the cell. Most of the episode highlights the triumph of Hershel's positive attitude and selfless concern for others. My favorite part though is the father-son moment between Rick and Carl. All the while, he tried to avoid exposing his son to any violence and its bad effects but ended up fighting herds of walkers with the assistance of his son. Its amazing to see Rick teaching his son a quick lesson on using the rifles.
The next episode will blow your minds. The governor has returned in a subtle way, at a time we didn't see coming ( or at least for me ). No wonder why suddenly a bunch of walkers emerged. He must be the one who brought them there. He arrived at the perfect time when they are still recovering from a recent onslaught. They are vulnerable.
I look forward to next week's confrontation between Rick and Daryl. Will it divide the group? If so, and you are to choose between team Rick or team Carol, which one will you join and why?
We shall see to what degree of threat will the Governor be to the group. Has he gathered enough army and ammunition to take revenge? I can't wait to see the duel between him and Michone. Stay tuned.
By the way, here's the recap.
Rick returns to the prison and tells Maggie that Carol killed Karen. Thus, he made the decision to send her off otherwise Tyrese might kill her.
Meanwhile, in the quarantined cell block, Hershel continues to care for the sick, with Sasha and Glenn assisting him. The condition of the those infected worsen, with five passing away and turned as walkers. Despite the seemed hopeless situation, Hershel maintains optimism and comforts those who are sick. The reanimated quickly increase and overrun the cell block, and Hershel, Glenn, Sasha and Lizzie struggles.
Hearing the gunshots inside the prison, Maggie rushes to the quarantined zone, while the exterior fence breaks down due to the increasing size of walkers. Rick and Carl killed them all using automatic rifles. Maggie manages to enter the cell block by shooting the window, kills the remaining walkers and rushes to her father's aid. They hurriedly tend to a dying Glenn.
As Carl and Rick ensures all walkers have been killed, Daryl's group returns, and Bob administers medicine to the remaining infected survivors, including Glenn and Sasha. Hershel goes to the deceased doctor and breaks down in tears.
The next day, when Daryl approaches Hershel about Carol, he only tells him that he should speak to Rick. Then Hershel and Michone went out to dispose the walkers' corpses. As Rick and Carl continue to tend to their crops, the prison is revealed to be observed by the Governor.
That's about it. We are almost halfway of the season. What else would you like to see?
