Lenovo Hires Ashton Kutcher

The computer giant company, Lenovo, hired Ashton Kutcher as one of its product engineer and personality endorser of the Yoga line products. Kutcher is a well-known Hollywood actor who just recently portrayed Steve Jobs movie. 

From Lenovo’s press release, Kutcher will work with the product’s development engineering department around the world in the Yoga line tablets. Additionally, he’ll help out in the marketing aspect of the said products. Being a celebrity, Kutcher has very strong 15 million tweeter followers that Lenovo believes will boost their product’s presence in the social media. 

For those who are asking if Ashton Kutcher is well qualified for the job, he studied biochemical engineering at the University of Iowa and  had venture capital with some tech companies like Foursquare, Airbnb, Spotity, Path and others. At one time he also had done a promotional stunt with Nikon. Currently, he portrays a successful and wealthy internet entrepreneur in the famous TV sitcom Two and a Half Men.

Given what Kutcher can do with the computer giant company, Lenovo is expecting to boost the popularity of their new product lines like the Yoga tablets. 

This could be the first time that an actor will take big responsibility on developing and marketing technology products. Will Kutcher surpass the expectation of the Lenovo management and its consumers? What do you think?
