Justin Bieber Invests in Selfie App Shots of Me

Pop sensation Justin Bieber has invested a "majority" amount in the new selfie App, Shots of Me, that will compete with photo & video sharing site Instagram.

The Shots of Me app is a social network entirely for selfies-photos you take of yourself. Users can take selfie, share it or just browse other people's selfie and like it. You can also send private messages to friends who follow you.

The app is free and currently, only available through Apples's iOS. The developer has not announced yet when it will offer to Android users.

The app developer RockLive's chief executive John Shahidi said that 19 year old Bieber was attracted to the app after being "a bit annoyed" by other similar sites. RockLive company is also supported by boxing superstar Floyd Maywather Jr.

Bieber is not the first celebrity to venture into technology business. Other famous names include Ashton Kutcher and Ricky Gervais.

Taking selfie is a trend that the new app will capitalize on. Plus consider Bieber's 47 million Twitter followers and 57 million Facebook fans. That will be a hit!

Now, there's a platform for our vanity.

What do you think of this new app? Will you use it?
