Hugh Jackman, A Samurai In The Wolverine Movie

Remember the  scene in the movie X-Men: The Last Stand ( 2006 ) where Wolverine had to kill Jean Grey before she turns into Phoenix ? The story of the new film, The Wolverine  kick starts from there.  Troubled and struggling with inner self, he travels to Japan to find healing. He received Samurai training, fell in love and... oops can't continue, it will spoil the excitement. One thing though, needless to say, expect plenty of sword fights. Anime lovers will be delighted.

The creative team started the works in August 2009. So it is not directly related to the X Men First Class even though Logan had a cameo apperance where Professor X tried to recruit him. It was intended to be a stand-alone film.

To promote the movie, Collider released this Sumi e-poster featuring Jean Grey. Is she going to resurrect? I doubt so. She perhaps will just  have an appearance which would be vital to Wolverine overcoming his greatest enemy-himself. An interesting part of the storyline.

Wolverine is a great character. He was ranked #1 Comic book character of all time. But with the 5 movies shown so far, its disheartening that the following superheroes were not given enough exposure to show their abilities.I would like to see them getting more action. Here's a few:
  1. JUBILEE -   She's witty and has a merry personality. In comics and cartoon versions, she often plays Wolverine's sidekick.
  2. ROGUE - It was kinda disappointing that she was not provided with opportunities to showcase her great ability.
  3. GAMBIT - He's part of  the original X men and yet he only had a very short stint in x men origins wolverine.
Who would you like  to see having major role in the next X-men flick?

After this, the 7th feauture in the series  will be X Men : Days of Future past to open in May 2014. Will be worth the wait. Long anticipation.
